RSS - Week 11

Well, it wasn't so bad learning to do the RSS feeds this week, they were a little difficult to learn at first, but once you get the idea, they are alright.
I have learned heaps in todays class, and Matt Baron is a pretty good teacher because i did get lost quite a few times, and he did have to repeat heaps of stuff.... But i'm happy to say that i did get it in the end, which was good, cause that's a part of my next assessment, that is due next week.
Over all the lesson was really good.

Visiting

So here's what i've got planned for this friday through to Sunday, i'm going to go to class on Friday and then later i'm going to catch a 7HOUR bus home.... That is to Sydney then i have my mother's birthday and my Aunt's 50th Birthday party, so this basically means that i will be spending the whole weekend living with my parents and other family members unhappy looks and that means....

I will be having a 'fabulous' weekend, if you didn't realise then i'm being sarcastic..... Also i have three assessments and an exam next week, so it couldn't come at a WORSE time.

Oh well, i guess i'll get to see a whole bunch of my family that i haven't seen in like forever and that will a plus, and i guess there will be free food, so that will be awesome and then i get to have another 7HOUR!!!! bus trip BACK to Wagga.... all for a grand total of 1 and a half days of being home.... :(

Hey everyone,

Well it's been a while sinc i have actually done a post about something that is recent, so i'm going to give you an update on what i (and the rest of my class) have had to do for multimedia.....

When we were first told that we were to design our own website i almost had a heart attack.... i mean, what would i write about, and who would care, but then a i got into the assignment, all the html stuff it all started to make sence. Which is amazing since i don't ever like anything that is to do with technology,
but i really had fun doing this assignment.

My website isn't very special there is a facts and superstitions page that i wquite liked, mostly cause it was fun to find out all of these useless facts and things that people actually believed in - Oh well, let live i say - My pages are mostly black, but the writings white so it gives the pages a cool contrast, and as well as that, i changed some of the titiles to pastel colours in order to spruce it up.
All in all, i think that i did a fabulous job and i would like to say thank you to Aaron Peirce and Matt Barron for their constant attempts to rid me of my inability to work computers like a human being

HTML - Week 6

Hey everyone, so this is a catch up to what i have been doing in class.....
So what we were supposed to do was do a post every week, unfortunately Facebook is one of the biggest procrastination sites out there, and needless to say i spent the entire lesson talkig to my friends back home in Sydney :/
Probably not a good thing seeing as this is homework and now it's all stacked up to too much and basically i'm overloading.....
These next few posts are just catch up one soooooo, ignore them if you don't want to be bored out of your skull.

Well as we all know, i REALLY HATE computers so needless to say i FAILED at doing the HTML stuff. I mean that i was seriously worse than usual. We are doing the html in order to create our own websites, the program that we used was iweb, wich was pretty easy (even for computer illiterate people like me)
This can only be done on the Mac's so that means that i will be spending heaps of time in the mac labs, cause i have a PC.

iweb is basically an easier version/ or at least a Mac version of Dreamweaver, it's much easier to understand.

Straight into School Work

Ok so holidays are quite obviously over given the amount of assessments that i have been bombarded with..... Actually there aren't that many BUT they are hard to do so they each take a while.
The worst one that i've got since i got back is the VIS101 or Visual Communication essay, now this one is a real pain as you have to be extremely thorough in your research and also careful in your layout..... My main problem is that essay for me are really difficult and even with help from other students, teachers and student services i still manage to scrape a pass, my other problem is that i have it due TODAY and i only started it yesterday.. :(
So basically i am not going to do very well, which SUCKS!! But it is my fault for leaving it to the last minute *sigh. I have to accept the inevitable, but not before i ask a really good friend of mine - who by the way is an awesome essay writer - to look over my essay.

This is my question, see if YOU can make your own essay out of it;

Address the question through the characteristics of a consumer society. The next assignment that will be due is ALSO VIS101, but it is and "informal" 'talk' as my lecturer likes to say, we choose a subject, mine is; Political and religious signs: Towards Global Culture. Then we have to compile a short essay type response and read it in front of the class.... Sounds easy right, WRONG, i absolutely hate talking in front of people so that one is going to be even more fun than the other VIS101 essay *Heavy Sarcasm*

After that there is my MPI104 and my VFX101 assignments due, better known as multimedia and animation, but they won't be due until somewhere around June i think.

iiiiiimmmm Baaaaack!!

Ok so i'm back after the holidays......
Actually i came back a few days ago, but any way, into another bunch of assessments we go, these include assessments for Animation, Visual Communication (and FML this one has TWO) - essays can go die in a hole - I'm getting one for Photography on thursday.... or later today, whatever, and i'm sure that our Multimedia teacher Matt is going to be giving us another assessment any day now....

*Sigh* And i thought high school sucked.

Uni's not THAT bad though, i'm just complaining cause i can, anyway the people are nice and they love to help you out when you need it so it's all good and the teachers really know what they're talking about so that's awesome.

I don't think people actually look at my blog but it's a good way to keep track of everything, you know, so...

Holidays ROCK!!!

Hey, so it's the first non-contact day for university today, so only ONE MORE LECTURE then it's time to relax for a couple of days before getting back into school work......

I'm so excited to be going home and seeing my family, it's been over two months since i've seen them... :( But i'm also heaps excited to just be able to kick back for a bit and take a breather, uni is so much harder than i thought it would be, but in the end it will all be worth it.... I hope :)
So some exciting news, well exciting for me, during this holidays i get to climb the Harbor Bridge in Sydney... YAY.... With my sister, cousin and my aunty, this is going to be an amazing holiday.

It will also be my sisters 16th birthday, so here's a shout out to Emma, love you baby sis, and i can't wait to see you and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Assessment 1

Well, it looks like we've reached the end of our assessment 1 for MPI104 and i can't say that im not relieved cause i really am, COMPUTERS SUCK!!!!
I don't like them and the feelings mutual, but MPI has taught me a few things that i would never have known or even attempted to to EVER!!!
Im Serious!!
But it's all good really, i find that the class is actually quite fun;

Well there are a few things that we've done, like create a Gmail account, and this blogspot account -

Then there was the Flickr account, i have to admit though, i like using Flickr even though i don't use it very often -

After that there was the Delicious account, though i do really hate this one, it always takes forever to open and then often shits itself halfway through doing something >P Really, Really HATE IT!!!

This whole subject isn't very hard, it's just a bit time consuming and you have to worry about keeping the posts regular, thats the most annoying part i reckon, cause if you forget for a couple of days then you have to do catchup posts, and they're a BITCH to do, can't wait till i get a desktop computer, will be so much better them my shoddy laptop, will make keeping the posts done regularly easy.

Anyway this class is pretty cool, Matt is a good teacher and the other people in my class are heaps nice and willing to help, BTW... thanks Matt for constantly helping me when my computer wouldn't let me log into ANY ACCOUNT!!!!!
HOWEVER, i'm still glad that this assignment is over even though it means that we are getting closer to when we get the next assignment. *sigh* i guess it never really ends when your in uni.......
